Avilla 4-H

The Avilla 4-H Club will hold its first meeting of the year Monday, September 17, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. in the school gym. If you are interested in becoming a member of the 4-H club we will be enrolling members at this meeting. Dues for the club are $13.00. We will also be electing officers for the year. This will be done by ballot this year, if you are interested in running for an office let Mrs. Calvin know by this Friday. 4-H is opened up for kids ages 5-18. Kids ages 5-7 are called clover kids. Clover kids are involved in the 4-H activities, but cannot enroll in projects other than the “Clover Kid” project. Past projects member have participated in include: BEEF, GOATS, HORSES, RABBITS, POULTRY, WOODWORKING, SHOOTING SPORTS, ARCHERY, REPITLES AND AMPHIBEANS, ARTS AND ENTOMOLOGY, FOODS, BREADS, CAKE DECORATING, SCRAPBOOK, AND KNITTING. There are many other opportunities. Parents we are looking for project leaders also.
