The Sixth Grade Class finished their unit on Earth's Surfaces with an explosion. After learning about how volcanos form and react, the class constructed two paper mach'e / plaster volcano replicas. An Art lesson how to construct a plaster and paper mache' model, was integrated in science class to make their model volcanos. They invited the Kindergarten class to watch the eruption. The volcanos erupted by using baking soda and vinegar. The class really enjoyed . . .
The sixth grade class participated in the Dare Program this year. Officer Matt Smith taught the class. During a Graduation Ceremony on January 14th, the class was presented certificates and tshirts. Each year the class participates in an essay contes. Mikayla Jennings was this year's winner of the Dare Essay Contest. Congratulations Mikayla! and the rest of the sixth grade class for a job well done.
