This is Christina Hodum’s first year teaching. She has coordinated a summer preschool program for the past four summers. She has been working with children since she was in high school. She is really enjoying her time here at Avilla. She says, “The staff and parents have been very kind, helpful, and friendly. I especially appreciate all of the helpful advice I have received from the other teachers.” She attended Ozarks Technical Community College for her first two years of college. She received her AA degree there with the A+ scholarship she received from high school. Christina graduated from Evangel University. She has wanted to be a teacher because of her love for working with children, especially younger children. “Each day is new and exciting in the first grade.” Christina has been very busy since she began teaching, and has not had much time for hobbies. However, in the summertime, she enjoys reading, scrapbooking, fishing, and traveling. Christina also loves learning about different cultures.
