The library will be having the 2nd quarter AR Reward party for those who met their goals in reading and testing for AR.
We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd. We will be also participating in both Read Across America and Read the Most from Coast to Coast. We are going to partner with school districts from coast to coast to shatter the one day Accelerated Reader test-taking record. Students will be deciding in each class how many AR tests they try to take on that one day. It is a great finish to Dr. Seuss' birthday celebration that week as well.
It is not too early to begin planning for our Spring Book Fair. It is a BOGO(Buy One, Get One) event. It will take place April 15th-20th. Start saving now to add new books to your collection.
We have had a very successful free book give away for books that were discarded and removed from the library collection. Students have had the opportunity to add book to their own collection through this event. We will have one final give away at the end of the school year as well.
Book circulation is up in our library for the year. This is great to see as the Avilla students continue to read, read, read!
