The Jasper Co Health Dept will hold a mobile flu clinic at school on Oct 8 from 1230-130. The cost will be $30 but they say they are able to bill insurance now so bring your insurance information to school.
I strongly recommend that all staff members take the flu shot or mist unless they are allergic to the formula. We owe it to ourselves to stay healthy and although the flu shot may not protect entirely against all strains of the flu it does make the symptoms milder even if you do get it in most cases.
I also recommend treating your children who are in a public setting . . .
On Friday, September 26th the Second Grade class, along with their Seventh Grade buddies, elected a Class President. Six students ran for president and gave a speech in front of our class. Second Grade and Seventh Grade students voted by way of secret ballot. All of the speeches were wonderful and well thought out. They did a fantastic job. Our new Class President is Cody Rinehart with our Vice-President being Addison Bayless. Great Job class!
Mixed emotions were present Monday, September 15, 2014 as the playground equipment came down in preperation for the safe room construction to begin. We are excited for the safe room to be completed, but some thought it was kind of sad to watch the little merry-go-round, swings, monkey bars and the jungle gym being moved. The playground equipment will be moved further east of the construction site at a later date. The slide, a big merry-go-round, ziplines, and Landree's pink swings are still available to play on . . .
