4-H is the largest youth group in the world. It opens up to kids ages 8-18. 4-H helps youth learn more about themselves, their community, and their interests. It also helps kids make new friends, have good times, and prepare them for the future ahead.
The 4-H pledge is important to memorize if you are in the group:
I PLEDGE…
My head to clearer thinking
My heart to greater loyalty
My hands to larger service
My health to better living
For my club, my community, my country, and my world.
The 4-H colors are kelly green, which represents life, springtime, and youth, and white, which represents purity. The motto is “To Make the Best Better.” And the slogan is “Learning by Doing.”
To participate in Clover Kids you have to be 5-7. Clover Kids can only enroll in projects 480, 481, 482, and 483. They cannot participate in competitive events, but can be in the fairs like regular 4-H members. To participate in the 4-H club membership you must be 8-18. They can be in organized clubs and enroll in project and club activities.
